Nearly 90% of the milk consumed in Senegal is imported in powder form, even though some 4 million of the country’s people—mainly Fulani—are traditionally herders and could produce milk if they had a way to distribute it. In 2007, Bagoré Bathily creates a dairy that improves their living conditions by making products with locally collected milk.
