[NEWS_IMAGE] On Thursday, June 5th 2014, Grameen Telecom Trust (GTT), signed investment agreements with Sixteen (16) new Nobin Udyoktas(NU) (Young Entrepreneurs). This takes the total number of NU projects signed by GTT to eighty (80).
These aspiring entrepreneurs are all children of Grameen Bank families who plan to start new businesses or scale up existing ones. Grameen Telecom Trust under its Nobin Udyokta Program is providing assistance to them through investments and other ancillary services. The aim is to establish the youth as entrepreneurs who will be self employed and beyond self employment will create job for others. The businesses to commence following the agreement signing include: general retail stores, tailoring and varieties store, metal workshop, hardware store, livestock medicine, telecom, jewelery store and others.
