Grameen Telecom Trust

The e-commerce website of Grameen Poshra was officially launched at 459^th Design Lab held on Thursday, 12 January 2017. Prof. Muhammad Yunus inaugurated the launch by visiting the website and buying a product from Grameen Poshra’s e-commerce site. Ms. Parveen Mahmud, FCA (Managing Director, Grameen Telecom Trust) presided the ceremony. Ms. Lamiya Morshed (Executive Director, Yunus Centre), Mr. Sultan Ahmed Bhuiyan (CFO & Board Secretary, Grameen Telecom Trust), Mr. Jayanta Kumer Bosu (Team Leader, Social Business, Grameen Telecom Trust), Mr. K.M. Saleheen (Coordinator, Social Business, Grameen Telecom Trust) along with Grameen Poshra Team and Information Technology Team of Grameen Telecom Trust were also present.

Grameen Poshra is an initiative by Grameen Telecom Trust to facilitate market linkage and create value chain development. It is an e-platform to promote the products of Nobin Udyokta, producers under Social Business Learning and Innovation Fund (SBLIF) and marginalized rural producers. The aim is to connect them to the urban and global market ensuring fair price.
