The Taiwan Delegation Attend to 9th Social Business Day

On 27-30 June, Foundation for Yunus Social Business Taiwan (FYSBT) set up a group to participate the 9th Social Business Day (SBD). The former premier of Taiwan, Mr. Mao, as the honor leader to leading the Taiwan Group to attend. More than 1,500 people attended the 9th SBD. Them explore topics such as food, education, human resources, and youth innovation etc., and provide social problem-solving experience.

In Taiwan, The FYSBY have recommended 10 universities to establish Yunus Social Business Center (YSBC). The president and YSBC director of National Taipei University of Business (NTUB) attended the 9th SBD and signing MoU with Professor Yunus. NTUB formally become a member of YSBC.

Through the assistance from the President of the Joint Foreign Chambers of Commerce in Thailand (JFCCT), Stanley Kang, the Taiwan delegation visited the University of the Thai Chamber of Commerce. VIPs at the meeting included the General Director of Thai Traders Kraisin Vongsurakrai, the Chairman of Thailand Tourism Bureau and the Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Kalin Sarasin, and the Honorary Chairman of the Thai Chamber of Commerce, Isara Vongkusolkit. The president of FYSBT Philippa Tsai said that the seminar will promote the business cooperation between Taiwan and Thailand, and promoting the concepts of social business. In the future, it is hoped to the world of three zeros that is proposed by professor Yunus will realize.

In addition, the FYSBT will invite professor Yunus to visit Taiwan on 18-19 November in 2019. And it will hold the 2nd Social Business East Asian Conference. Inviting Asian social business experts and scholars share their experience. The CEO of FYSBT, Ms. Juno Wang, said that the Foundation will focus on the construction of Grameen micro-credit and educating of social business in this year. She hopes that through professor Yunus visit to Taiwan, connecting the resources from social business entrepreneur and charity. Creating a good future for Taiwan.
