Organic Farming Authors Roles


Requirements:


Work experience in the assigned area of a minimum of 5 years.


Capacity to synthesise research and state-of-the-art into simple and logical processes both trainers and trainees can apply to their local context.


Broad knowledge about the diversity of climatic conditions and practical responses and best practices worldwide.


Advanced Google Drive user and capable online work environment.


Experience creating course content.


Confidence to produce practice-oriented and sound training content for a MOOC course.


General workflow:


-Put together course content and reference material, including a variety of graphic and audiovisual materials on Google Drive, for 15 year old students who could come from anywhere different locations across the World.


-Put together trainer instructions and references to help them shape their role.


-Reference and link the gathered information with footnotes and corresponding file .


-Organise contents in units lasting between 7 and 50 min.


-Develop and follow forms for each lesson on google drive.


-Transfer lesson contents to edX following a model course.


-Review functionality and clarity for trainees on edX.


-Language review and glossary.


-Upload support and reference documentation for trainees.


-Reference and act according to copyrights.


-Improve trainees learning experience, academy spaces and edX functionality and adapt lesson and edX content following feedback from users and developments with the team.


Role accountabilities:


Developing, maintaining and updating the master framework of the assigned courses in cooperation with the developer team, authors.


Developing, maintaining and updating vocational course contents.


Developing, maintaining and updating performance targets for the on the job training.


Developing, maintaining and updating instructor documents for teachers and job trainers.


Developing, maintaining and updating learning documentation for students.


Developing, maintaining and updating grading.


Reviewing courses on a regular basis and making recommendations for new / revised programs and instructional materials.

Compensation:


Authors will be compensated their portion of the faculty budget since the first project starts. The faculty budget depends on the number of academies currently running, and the GNI of the countries where each academy is located. Each project has set up fees and yearly fees from which authors will draw their compensations.
