George Washington Univ medal for Prof Yunus

Nobel laureate Prof Muhammad Yunus has been awarded the George Washington University President’s Medal.

This is the highest honour the university’s president can bestow.

George Washington University President Steven Knapp presented the award to honour Prof Md Yunus, founder of Grameen Bank, for his pioneering work in creating economic development through microcredit, during a ceremony at Lisner auditorium, according to a news agency. – bz
